As my daughter grows, I want to teach her about self love and respect. I want my girl to know her worth and that beauty is more then skin deep, that it is okay to love yourself, the good, the bad and the ugly. I want her to know that life isn’t about being perfect because no one is perfect nor that the world we live in is perfect but that’s okay to be perfectly imperfect. I want her to know that social media is a highlight reel and not always real life.
To my beautiful girl,
I may not always be the “Ideal Mother”, I may not always have all the answers but I will always love you beyond measure.
As you have now entered your tween years and becoming more aware of the world around you I want to you see that in the world we live in, no one is perfect + that’s okay, that people make mistakes, that those mistakes are not always mistakes rather a lesson for you to grow and evolve.
I want you to know that the world needs what you’ve got and that your life, my life, our lives is a constant journey of discoveries and learning. I’m 33 years old and still learning everyday.
I want you to know that my love for you is unconditional and that you are growing into the most amazing, caring beautiful soul before my very eyes and I’m so proud.
I want you to know that no matter where you are or what you do I will always be there for you, my love can carry you through anything, even if you aren’t always the best version of you because in life sometimes you aren’t but that’s okay because it’s all part of the journey and it’s all part of growing up.
I will Always be proud of you, through the good and the bad in your journey, because ultimately that’s what make us who we are.
Life isn’t about the destination it’s about the journey, so enjoy the ride whether it be the good the bad or the ugly. I love doing life as your Mum.
Love always your biggest proudest, loudest, crazy supporter, Mum.
